Manipal Foundation has partnered with Sambhav Foundation to impart vocational skills training to the women in Andhra Pradesh (Kakinada) who belong to the economically weaker section of the society.
This is an attempt to make the ladies employable post the training program.
This being skill development training, the women are free to choose from tailoring, beauty and hair care or equip themselves on both areas.
Our role does not end only with upskilling or imparting training, but we also hand hold them till they are suitably employed.
Sambhav Foundation extends the orders which they receive to these trained women. Simultaneously, they are also encouraged to continue or start working independently. This makes them responsible and could be an option.
We are extremely happy and proud that till date we have already trained 180 women in tailoring and 110 women in beauty and hair care. This overwhelming response has been a great encouragement to us.
